of rectangular form, with greek iconography, a large garland swag with rams heads, with charioteer and four dancing bacchantes each base corner with a seated griffins, all on a raised square plinth with canted corners, the enamel Susse Freres, Hors Concours Paris 1900, clock face with roman and arabic numerals, gilt metal hands, signed lower right corner, the interior of the clock, stamped with Susse Freres Paris; overall height: 49 cm (19 1/4); dimensions of base: 37 x 24 cm (14 5/8 x 9 1/2in.)
